Austin Independent School District

Austin ISD serves most of Austin and the surrounding towns. The district operates 130 schools which include 85 elementary schools, 19 middle schools, and 17 high schools. Austin ISD covers 172.4 square miles of land which is about half of 54.1% of the city’s territory. It is also the 5th largest school in Texas with over 84,000 students and graduation rates of 86.3%.

Bastrop Independent School District

Bastrop ISD serves the communities of Bastrop, Cedar Creek, Circle D-KC Estates, Paige. Red Rock, Rockne, Wyldwood, Camp Swift, and other areas near Bastrop. The district operates 15 schools which include 6 elementary schools, 2 intermediate, 2 middle schools, 3 high schools and 1 alternative instructional. The school district covers 450 miles of the Bastrop County and around 30 miles to the southeast of Austin. Del Valle Independent School District
